Ken Mills Toyota Celebrates Giving Back with the Sundale Foundation
For the third year in a row, Brett Mills and his team at Ken Mills Toyota Nambour are incredibly proud to be partnering with the Sundale Community Foundation by supplying a $5000 community grant. Along with other local guests, we’ll be attending the Sundale Foundations Grants Awards event on February 23rd to celebrate the 2020 round of foundation grants, meet the recipients, and be there for the launch of the 2021 grant process.
How the Sundale Community Foundation is making a difference in their community
The Sundale Community Foundation is a legacy of the very successful aged care service provider Sundale Ltd. The foundation’s mission is to advance health, education, social and public welfare, culture, and the environment through a financial grants support program for those in need in the greater Nambour community. The Sundale Foundation grants are awarded to select organisations who offer service delivery within Nambour and its surrounding areas, and who provide improved outcomes for one of the following groups:
- People who are homeless and / or at risk of homelessness
- Children and young people (0 – 18 years)
- Indigenous Australians
- Racial and ethnic minorities
- People experiencing mental illness
- People experiencing chronic conditions
- People experiencing disability
- Other individuals in need
Brett and his team continue to be inspired by the high calibre of community projects being undertaken in the Nambour region through all of the efforts of the Sundale Community Foundation.
Ken Mills Toyota and the Sundale Community Foundation - partnering for positive change
As a long-standing, Sunshine Coast family-run business, Ken Mills Toyota Nambour prides itself on working alongside Sunshine Coast organisations such as the Sundale Community Foundation to help those less fortunate. In previous years, funding from Ken Mills Toyota has benefited underprivileged school children, River Road Equine Assisted Learning, Sunshine Valley Men's Shed, and helped fund a native bee hive for Bli Bli State School. This year, the team at Ken Mills Nambour is supporting the Nambour Rugby Union Club with a $5000 grant so that they can provide a fully equipped strength and conditioning facility for their players. As Brett and his wife have always been particularly passionate about community initiatives in the areas of children's health & well-being, education and sport, they are thrilled to be able to help these junior players maximise the outcomes of their dedication and hard work.
Ken Mills Toyota - supporting positive community outcomes for the Sunshine Coast
Brett and Caroline Mills strongly believe that local businesses have an opportunity to make a big impact on the community around them and they take this responsibility very seriously. By actively participating in community initiatives such as local charity events, donating to community charities and sponsoring local arts and sporting groups, Ken Mills Toyota Sunshine Coast is helping to empower fellow community members to thrive. The team at Ken Mills Toyota is very proud of the difference that the Sundale Community Foundation grants program has made in the Nambour region and they are honoured to be included in the Sundale Bursary Awards event this year.
