On December 3rd 2002, Brett and Caroline Mills opened Ken Mills Toyota at Nambour and Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. Both had a long and proud association with Toyota and a passion for the Sunshine Coast and it’s community; bringing the two things together they wanted to create an automotive business that delivered excellent value and service for locals, a sustainable and engaging workplace for employees and genuine community engagement that would leave a legacy for the region - particularly in the area of children's health & well-being, education and sport.
The last 17 years has seen the multi-award winning company grow to a family of over 95 highly trained and talented staff including Toyota-trained Technicians and an accredited 2019 Fleet Specialist team. Ken Mills Toyota is also incredibly proud to be recognised as the QLD Toyota Finance & Insurance Dealer of the Year and the QLD Toyota Access Dealer of the Year in 2018.
When the team isn’t working on mobility solutions for guests, they can be found running the now infamous annual ‘Millsy’s Pop-Up Restaurant’ which has raised in excess of $200,000 in the last five years for Sunshine Coast children’s charities - SunnyKids & Give Me 5 for Kids.
With a further $150,000 given back every year in sponsorships and grants to a variety of community partners, sporting groups and charity organisations including STEPS Pathways College, Coolum Beach SLSC, Woombye Snakes FC, Sundale Community Foundation and RACQ Lifeflight Rescue.
In 2018, the Ken Mills Toyota Ambassador Program launched with six Professional netballers partnering with the business - an association of which we are very proud.
