Giving Back to Sunshine Coast Kids This Christmas
We’re Partnering With SunnyKids To Help Vulnerable Kids This Christmas Season
Since first opening the doors at Ken Mills Toyota Nambour and Ken Mills Toyota Maroochydore nearly twenty years ago, Brett and Caroline Mills have generously given back to the Sunshine Coast community.
The tradition continues this Christmas season as they are delighted to be partnering with local children's organisation, SunnyKids, to help spread some holiday cheer through their SUNNY XMAS for Kids Fundraising Campaign. As long-time local residents themselves, raising their own family in the local area, Brett and Caroline know how important it is for charities, businesses and local residents to work in partnership to give the most vulnerable members of the community a chance at a brighter future.
Why SunnyKids is so important to the Sunshine Coast Community
With a goal of creating a society in which every child feels safe, has a feeling of belonging, and has a chance to reach their full potential, SunnyKids is committed to working with children, families and the community at large to encourage everyone to work cooperatively to find positive solutions. By partnering with health, education and child protection agencies, SunnyKids is able to offer up to 8,000 nights of emergency accommodation, as well as domestic violence counselling services to vulnerable families in the local community. As long-term supporters of this vital charity, Ken Mills is proud to be partnering with SunnyKids on this year’s exciting initiative.
SUNNY XMAS for Kids Fundraising Campaign – Supporting Sunshine Coast Families
This year, Ken Mills Toyota is combining forces with SunnyKids and 92.7 MixFM to launch the SUNNY XMAS for Kids campaign beginning on December 7th. During this exciting fundraising drive, families who have previously been supported by SunnyKids will have an opportunity to share how that support has made a difference in their lives and what life looks like for them now.
The money raised will directly support SunnyKids programs such as SunnyKids Mentoring Through Sports, SunnyKids in Schools, and Village Buddies. As former president of the SunnyKids charity, Brett Mills knows that the work that SunnyKids does wouldn’t be possible without the assistance of local businesses and the community – which is why Ken Mills Toyota is committed to giving back to such an important community initiative.
Give the gift of a brighter future this Christmas
As this year has been met with unprecedented challenges, and more people are struggling in local communities than ever before, Ken Mills Toyota has made it a priority to help make this Christmas a little brighter for local kids in need. With an increase in mental health concerns, domestic violence, and financial hardship this year, it’s more important than ever for both businesses and individuals to come together and help out however they can to help build a strong foundation of support for those who are most vulnerable.
Our hope is that those people who are in a position to give back this holiday season will join us in supporting the SUNNY XMAS for Kids initiative and help spread Christmas cheer to those who need it the most.
